He is a certified ISO 50001 Energy Management System (EnMS) consultant, trainer, and lead auditor, actively supporting certification and compliance since 2013.
He has led and contributed to numerous energy efficiency projects and national initiatives, with experience across government, multinational organizations, and international programs including UNIDO and IEA.
Mr. Zaini currently serves as President of MAREEM (2022–present) and has trained thousands of professionals while actively contributing to the advancement of energy management practices in Malaysia.

En. Mohd Iskandar Majidi is an experienced energy efficiency and carbon management specialist in Malaysia since 1998. He specialises in Carbon Management and Reporting, Thermal Applications, Solar Thermal Efficiency, and integrated energy–carbon systems aligned with ISO 50001 and ISO 14064.
He has collaborated with international consulting firms and donor agencies including DANIDA, UNDP, and UNIDO on energy efficiency and carbon reduction projects. Since 2016, he has conducted carbon reporting and training for clients such as SGS Malaysia, FMM, ASTRO, Inari Technology, Amkor Technology, Hartalega, IOI Plantation, and Deloitte Malaysia.
He is actively involved in integrating energy management systems with carbon accounting to support EECA 2024 and NSRF compliance, helping organisations achieve both operational efficiency and credible emissions reporting.
